Next week we will begin teaching our RSE curriculum. This will take a number of lessons and will be completed over the next few weeks.
End of year arrangements
Please see the end of year arrangements for Y6.
As we approach the end of your child’s time at primary school we would like to make sure that they have the send-off that they deserve.
Y6 will be holding their end-of-year performance on Wednesday 17th July at 6.30 pm. Please could children arrive from 6.00 pm and the doors will open at 6.30 for adults. We will be charging £2.00 per ticket for the show. Payment for this is now open and needs to be completed via ParentPay. This is to cover the licence needed and a contribution to the end-of-year party. Initially, tickets will be limited at 2 per child and if there are any left over they will be offered on a first come first served basis.
On Thursday 18th July, Y6 will have a leavers’ party during the school day. The contributions made from the leavers’ performance will enable us to provide the party food so there is no need for children to bring anything into school. On this day, children are welcome to bring fancy dress or party clothes.
We will be holding a leavers’ assembly on Friday 19 th July at 9:15 am. This will take place in the KS2 hall. Parents are welcome to come. After the assembly, children will be allowed to bring in a shirt to be signed by other children and staff. This will need to be an additional shirt to the one they are wearing. Children should bring a clean shirt and should bring in their own pen so that they can sign other children’s shirts.
On Friday 19th July, in the afternoon, we will be holding an end-of-year water fight during school time. Please make sure that your child has suitable clothing for this and a change of clothes. You are more than welcome to send your child in with a water pistol for the big event. If you do not have one, don’t worry we will still have lots of fun with some equipment around school!
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Could I ask how long the leavers assembly goes on for please? It’s just so that I can sort time off from work. Thank you
Hello! Usually it lasts until break time – so around 10:30. It could go on a little later depending on how quickly we get through things. We then normally welcome parents into the courtyard to take pictures of the children together.
