Farsley Farfield Primary School

It’s a confusing world isn’t it: COVID cases rising in the UK but falling currently at school; masks on again in the corridors but attendance almost back to normal; some schools having parents in for Christmas performances, others not. It is easy to pick holes in guidance and rail at inconsistencies, but I am glad I am not trying to manage this for a whole country – a single school is hard enough!

We have chosen not to have crowds into the school this festive season and it has been sad to just video some shorter performances instead. It is so long since we have heard children singing en masse in school: even hearing some Y3 children sing-along with a song in a PE dance this week was startling and delightful in its freshness. I look forward to the time that we can all get together safely and sing again.
