Falkingham Cup win
Our U11 9-a-side football team played a wonderful match vs Carr Manor Primary School on Thursday evening. On a heavy pitch, Farfield took the lead early but Carr Manor equalised before half time. Both teams could have won the game in the second half and in injury time, but the game ended 1:1 and we went to penalties. Our goalkeeper Finnan was the hero of the penalty competition as he stopped most of the Carr Manor shots, including two magnificent saves low down to his right.
This was a super game: played hard in the right spirit, with good passing and thoughtful play. The referee didn’t have to whistle for any fouls in the whole game.
Carr Manor were unlucky, but it is Farfield that go onto the next round of this city-wide competition.
