Reception News – 14.7.23

Phonics

This week the children have learnt the tricky word ‘out’ and have been reading and writing words that include ‘br’, ‘fl’, ‘dr’, and ‘tr’ consonant clusters.

Maths

This week we have been learning about position. The children have been using lots of language to describe positions, including front, back, between, above, below and next to. They enjoyed looking at photographs of our outside area and deciding where the picture had been taken from.

Sports Day

The children are very excited about taking part in Sports Day on Wednesday 19th July. Nursery and Reception will have their formal races from 9:15-10:15. The children need to come to school in their PE kit and suitable footwear, please.
