We are doing a huge number of school tours at the moment which belies the data that tells us that there is a big drop in the birth rate. We don’t do ‘open days’ or evening events; every tour is an ‘ordinary day’ as I am confident that we will experience a happy, safe, enjoyable and purposeful school whenever and wherever we look. I wish we did more tours in the summer rather than this relatively drab and muddy time of year, so I include photos of the children and grounds on glorious days in May/June to show prospective parents.
Year 1 this week went to Temple Newsam House to support their history work: specifically learning about The Great Fire of London. It is great to get out of school sometimes and bring the curriculum ‘alive’. In wonderful historical settings, the children were immersed in their learning and had a great time.
