Farsley Farfield Primary School

Year 5 WB 18.12.23

Time has absolutely flown by in a very eventful and festive week! As we draw closer to the end of term, our children have been busy spreading joy and cheer, and the classrooms have been buzzing with excitement.

Spectacular Show

The highlight of the week was the performance of ‘Robin and The Sherwood Hoodies’. From super acting to impressive singing, the children did us all proud and showcased their creativity and hard work. It was incredible to see their confidence shine on stage, and we’re immensely proud of each and every one of them.

We would like to thank all parents and carers for supplying costumes, helping with lines and providing emotional support and encouragement to the children (and teachers!) during this half term’s preparations.

The video of our Wednesday performance can be found here.

End of Term Activities

As well as English and Maths learning, the children have enjoyed showcasing their creative and artistic talents by making cards and calendars this week. We were especially impressed with their cards and the thoughtful messages the children wrote truly captured the essence of the season. Hopefully the children’s creations made it home in one piece and the glitter managed to stay on the calendars!

Looking Ahead

It’s been a pleasure witnessing the growth and enthusiasm of our Year 5 students throughout this term, and we’re eager to see what the next term will bring.

We want to extend our gratitude to all parents and carers for the cards, gifts and kind words we have received this week. We would also like to thank you for the continuous support and encouragement you give your children.

We have not set any homework for the holidays in the hope that you are able dedicate this time to being together as a family. However, our online platforms are available for children to access and we would always encourage as much reading as possible.

Wishing you all a wonderful and restful holiday season filled with love and laughter.

Warm regards,

The Year 5 Team
