Phonics

This week we have been developing our listening skills. We have been listening to different environmental sounds and trying to identify them. Each week for the last few weeks and for the next few weeks there will be a sheet in book bags explaining the different aspects of Phase 1 phonics and how you can support your child at home. This work at home reinforces what we are doing in Nursery. Here is a sound game to play with your child to help them improve their listening skills.

The Three Little Pigs

The children continue to enjoy this familiar traditional tale. This week they have been pretending to be the characters from the story, working on their fine motor skills by colouring pictures and retelling the story with the aid of a story map.
