Fabulous Inaugural PTA Rainbow Run

Rate this post

What a day! Our PTA smashed it with a brilliant Rainbow Colour Run on Saturday afternoon. Hundreds of runners and their supporters took on an obstacle course with water, mud and lots and lots of powder paint. We had a huge amount of fun and made lots of money for the PTA funds (maybe £2000 so far?). Many, many thanks to all the volunteers from families and staff without whom the event couldn’t have taken place. Many, many thanks also to lots of brilliant sponsors that covered the cost of the event or supported the day in other ways.

The runners were warmed up energetically by The Rise dance group. They then set off, zig-zagging across the field, under and over a variety of obstacles. Water guns and paint throwers lurked…

From the main field, the runners climbed the infant hill for a water slide with a difference!

After some hopscotch on the infant yard, the runners headed towards the meadow and woodland area for more hazards and a mud bath!

Runners then ran on through tyres, over pallet steps and through a tunnel, emerging on the other side to sprint to the fabulous balloon arch finish line. All finishers were awarded lovely bespoke wooden medals and ribbons to commemorate their run. (We haven’t found the pictures of this bit yet. There will probably be more photos to follow.)

Well done to all the finishers!

Thank you PTA for another glorious event. What a team!
