Farsley Farfield Primary School

Nursery – 11.10.24

The children have enjoyed a slightly wet but fun week. Some of the exciting things we have looked at this week include: discussing people who help us (mainly doctors and nurses), finding England on a globe, and learning about the different planets in our solar system.

Tall

This week we have looked at the words ‘tall’ and ‘tallest’. The children had lots of fun building tall towers and seeing who was the tallest in our class.

Leaf rubbing

We have continued to think about all things autumn. The children examined different leaves and the patterns we could see on them. The children then looked at some of the artwork created by William Morris. The children used crayons to create natural pieces of artwork and colours some sheets taken from artwork designed by William Morris.

Tummy Time

This week we spent some time on our tummies. Some of the benefits include strengthening and developing the lower abdomen muscles. Tummy time can also support children’s handwriting development. The children had a go at drawing themselves. We discussed the main features first and then let them have a try. They really impressed us.

Everything else

Have a lovely weekend,

The Nursery Team
