Year 6 11.10.24
Kensuke’s Kingdom – The Jellyfish
This week we became Kensuke and rewrote a chapter of the book from his point of view. The children worked incredibly hard on their writing trying hard to include tension and description whilst also showing off amazing grammar skills by way of parenthesis which we have been working on.
Here is some of our work
Why do volcanoes erupt?
In Geography this week, we learnt about volcanoes and the reasons they erupt. The children looked closely at a cross section of a typical volcano and carefully drew their own diagrams.

PE
We are getting closer to the end of this half term and 6D have been working hard on their dance routines linked to the topic ‘Musical Theatre’. Here are a couple of videos of their routines which they’ve been choreographing over the last few weeks. Can you see them using explosive, theatrical movements? Can you see them dancing in unison and in groups on their own routines? Super moves 6D!
