Year 6 13.12.24
Assessments
We are halfway through our assessments and have a few more papers to do before we break up for the year. Well done to the children for giving their best – we will share results with them as soon as we have the papers marked and use them to inform our next steps and booster groups in the spring term.
Science – mirrors, mirrors, everywhere!
This week in science we had great fun investigating mirrors. Together we discussed the terms opaque, translucent and transparent and learned a little about the history of mirrors. It was then time for some fun! Where did we need to hold a mirror to read a note stuck under a table? How could we read a note on our backs using a mirror (or two)? How can we complete a maze by looking into a mirror and does it take longer than completing it without one?
