Phonics

This week, we have been looking at rhyme. We read some books and picked out the rhyming words to repeat together. We also had a go at thinking of our own rhyming words. Some children still find rhyming difficult. Maybe you can practice rhyming at home too.

Maths

During our maths sessions, we have looked at forming the numeral 3. It is quite a tricky numeral to form and some children formed it backwards. We will keep practising.

Little Feet: Elmer

We had some visitors this week. Living Streets came to introduce Little Feet: Elmer to our class. The children listened to a story and then went on an animal walk to see what they could see. We also discussed road safety. As a class, we will complete a walking-to-school map to see if we can reach the end. An information leaflet has been sent home.

Good luck

One of our friends is moving home and joining a new setting. We are sad to see him go but wish him lots of luck. We helped him celebrate his new adventures with a little party.

Everything else

This week we have looked at ‘spring’ and discussed what changes we can see, played on the bikes, completed lots of educational games and got messy.

Have a lovely weekend,

The Nursery Team
