Brownlee Triathlon events May 2018
On Monday morning I had the pleasure of taking 15 pupils to the Brownlee Triathlon Event at John Smeaton Leisure Centre. The children completed this multiple-stage participation event in real style and had a wonderful time. A special thanks to Mrs Heap for accompanying me on the trip and taking lots of photos (see below). A special well done to all the children for their efforts and for smiling all morning. Mr Cooke
On Friday, I took another group of triathletes to the same event at the John Charles Centre. We were on a track rather than grass for the cycling. The children completed the course impressively and lots of them wanted something more challenging. I spoke to the city council triathlon organiser and he is sending us details of other, longer events for 10 years and above. I got many fewer photos and I have sneaked them in above Mrs Heap’s. Aren’t we lucky to have such fantastic facilities in Leeds?! This morning Em & I have been to the new Middleton park run which is where the Leeds Urban Bike Park
is. What a fabulous park and facilities. Can’t wait to take the bikes there this weekend.
