Headteacher blog 29th November 2024
It’s been such a busy week at Farfield with school trips, Farsley Lights Parade and our first Show Time event of the year. Children are also busy rehearsing for their Christmas Shows and nativity performances.
Farsley Lantern Parade was a brilliant spectacle and community event, even making it onto Look North. Some of our children had made their own willow creations at an after-school club, and more families had created head-dresses and other willow creations at workshops over the summer. It felt like there were thousands at the event and it shows off Farsley as a vibrant place to be. Many congratulations go to Grumpys, West SILC Powerhouse and Scrap, as well as the Farsley Community Project. The school is once again indebted to Farmac for providing a truck for our float and to Ms Howells and the samba band for providing a soundtrack for the evening.
