Farfield enjoys the snow!

We were one of a small minority of schools that managed to stay open today. We had about 50% children’s attendance. We did do ‘normal-ish’ lessons but the children also had some extended playtimes in the snow. They had a lovely time in perfect conditions. Here are some photos from Y1-6:

Solar for Schools visit and exciting trip to the roof and basement

On Wednesday, we had a visit from Solar for Schools and they did an assembly and workshop with Y6. We also went on an energy tour of the school looking at the wind turbine on the grounds, solar panels and air source heat pumps on the roof and gas boilers in the basement. This Read More

World Book Day 2023

We had a wonderful World Book Day 2023. Two packed assemblies showed off lots of lovely costumes and we watched the winners of the ‘Read Aloud’ poetry competition.
