Nursery – 04.04.25

Phonics

This week, we introduced a matching game. The children understood rhyme well and were able to match the cards correctly.

Maths

The children have been working on their subitising skills this week. We have used different pictorial representations to represent various numbers and also dot plates with different patterns. The children are quite good at this already.

Easter

This week we have spoken about the Easter story. We have also watched some videos of children and cartoon characters acting out a simple version of the story so the children have more of an understanding of why we celebrate Easter. The children have also enjoyed being creative by making cards and chicks in eggs!

Everything else

We have been extremely busy this week. The children have been very creative with some large boxes, making dens and becoming superheroes with wings! The children have also engaged with lots of outside activities as well as looking at emotions, planting pumpkin seeds, and finding items from our ‘I Spy’ area.
