Phonics

This week we have revised the phonemes air, ure and er. Our tricky word is come. Does your child know the tricky words in this song?

Maths

We have had lots of fun learning about doubles. Can your child quickly recall the double facts?

The children enjoyed all the practical activities. They thought the ‘doubling machine’ was great!

They enjoyed listening to this funny story.

They also used their double knowledge to make butterflies and we talked about symmetry.

Understanding of the World

We have continued learning about different celebrations. This we are learning about the Christian celebration – Easter. We asked the children “Why is Easter special?” The children didn’t say “We get chocolate eggs”, they replied:

” It is about Jesus.”, “Jesus died on the cross.”

We have listened to the Easter Story and enjoyed eating hot cross buns.

Spring Event

Thank you to everyone who was able to come and join us. We hope you enjoyed exploring the school grounds. Hopefully, everyone will grow a beautiful sunflower – keep us posted on what happens!
