Reception News – 30.6.23
Phonics
This week the children have looked at the tricky word ‘what’ and the consonant clusters: nk, ft, sk, sp. The children are writing at least one sentence daily and are really impressing us with their writing.
Maths
This week we have been doing lots of problem solving. Who could make the longest bridge and how could they measure it? Can you save the bear from a crocodile infested swamp without touching the ground? Can you make a shelter for the bear? Can you make a boat that will float?
The children have worked well with friends and large groups to solve the problems.
Everything else…
We are looking forward to seeing lots of you at the Camp Over tomorrow.
Have a great weekend.
