Farsley Farfield Primary School

TES Schools Award winner – Healthy school of the year

On Friday evening, a team of staff (and Tom Booles, a parent who has supported volunteering and fundraising through his employer Barclays Bank) attended the TES Schools Award ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London where Farfield were shortlisted in one of the categories for a national award.  The evening, hosted by Julian Clary, was a celebration of the extraordinary commitment, quality and innovation shown by teachers and support staff across the UK.

We are very proud to announce that Farfield won the award for Healthy School of the Year 2017!

The judges said “Farsley Farfield Primary School has shown exceptional long-term sustainable commitment to immersing children in healthy lifestyles from a young age.  They are the worthy winners of this year’s award.”

Congratulations to all involved.

Feel so lucky that Jack has so many opportunities at Farsley Farfield. Jack loves all the outdoor space and going down to the farm and we love buying the fresh vegetables etc which are grown. Well done to all involved

Fantastic well done for all your hard efforts, I love this school and I’m so proud my daughter (Imaan) goes here. I know she’s a fussy eater but your lovely staff have really worked their magic on her and she loves her dinners. I actually get an honest account of what she’s eaten now. Thank you for all your hard efforts and carry on.
