This week in Nursery

Number 5

The children have a very good understanding of the number 5 and have experienced it in lots of different situations. We sing songs and rhymes, we count objects, we subitize the number (recognise without counting) and this week we have been representing the number on paper. The children drew lines, raindrops and sunshines and then had a go at writing the numeral.

Phase 1 phonics

We have been doing lots of rhyming activities over the last few weeks and the children are getting very good at filling in the rhyming words. This week we read ‘Underpants for ants’ and the children really enjoyed completing the rhymes.
