This week in Nursery
What a lovely week we have had! The children are settling in and developing relationships with the adults and their peers. They are learning our routines and growing in independence and confidence.
Inside fun!
Here are a few of the things they have been doing inside this week…
Outside fun!
The children have also been enjoying our outdoor environment…
Counting rhymes
We are learning lots of counting rhymes in Nursery and the children are surprising us with how many they are able to join in with. Here is one we are learning at the moment. This one has slightly different words. We sing ‘Toby Tall’ but in this version they say ‘Middle Man’. When singing it with your child you may want to use the same words we use.
eyLog observations
In Nursery and Reception we use an observation system called eyLog. This week we have started to add observations for the Nursery children. You will have received and email asking you to activate your account. Once you have done this you will be able to see the observations we have added for your child. We aim to add at least one observation every two to three weeks, sometimes it may be more. You can ‘like’ the observation, add comments and also add your own observations.
Blogs
The weekly blog includes photographs and information about what the children have been doing in Nursery. There may also be an activity or song to share at home to reinforce the learning we have been doing. Already we have had some lovely comments and a few ‘thumbs up’. It is really helpful if you can add a comment or even show a ‘thumbs up’ as it lets us know that parents and carers are seeing what we have been doing.
Have a lovely weekend from the Nursery team
