Farsley Farfield Primary School

Year 6 05.7.24

History

We have been doing some brilliant research and presentations on the Industrial Revolution. We learnt about life in the mill for children – how they were mistreated and what daily life might have been like.

We then looked at local important historical figures such as Titus Salt and Samuel Marsden. The children were fascinated to learn about how and why Saltaire was created and how important the North of England was to the time.

Calling all costumes!

Rehearsals continue at breakneck speed and we think we have a really special show for you all. We are very, very short of costumes however so it’s likely we will be performing in school uniform if we don’t get donations soon! If you have any of the following things and would be happy to let us have them, we would really appreciate it.

  • Plain black t shirts (to be cut up and kept)
  • Plain white t-shirts (to be cut up and kept)
  • School shorts / old shorts (to be cut up and kept)
  • Sailor or pirate costume (to be returned)

As a reminder, arrangements for the end of term can be found here

Have a lovely weekend – enjoy campover!
