Year 6 08.3.24
This week has been a brilliant week celebrating World Book Day with many activities happening and lots of fun being had.
Earlier this week year 6 participated in a live lesson with author Emily-Jane Clark and learned about writing funny stories. They created their own beast and completed a ‘top trumps’ card with tonnes of information about these monsters. We were also lucky enough to join in with a Zoom quiz alongside the Premier League and enjoyed answering questions about books and football which were posed by players from across the country.
As part of World Book Day, our reading buddies came to visit and we created bookmark monsters together. Here are some photos of 6D with their buddies – folder
6J costumes!
English
Over the last week we have written discussion texts about a variety of things. Some of the children chose to link their writing with extending the school day and others wrote about a variety of things: from the Royal Family and NASA and space exploration, to Taylor Swift and video games!
