Year 6 12.7.24 – The End is Nigh
We are hurtling towards the last week of term and the last week of Farsley Farfield for our children. As a reminder, here are the arrangements for next week.
Bradford Industrial Museum
We spent a lovely morning at Bradford Industrial Museum on Tuesday where the children learned more about life in the mills for children of the time. Year 6 were fascinated by the machinery and the sounds of the spinning looms which were incredibly loud! Some of the children also created their own fashion show using the fabrics available.
Here are some photos of the day.
SATS results
As we are sure you’ll have read in Mr Harris’ email, ‘ Our cohort have done very well collectively – as good as any sets of results in recent years. The proportion of children reaching ‘greater depth’ standards in Reading, Writing and Maths combined appears to be well above national average (early indications suggest top 5% of schools by this particular measure). ‘
We will give your child their SATS results next week (probably Tuesday) with their report.
Carrier Bags
Next week your child will be taking home their workbooks from the year. Please send your child into school with a strong ‘bag for life’ style bag to take their books home with them.
Have a lovely weekend.
